Inside Info: Chillen

Chillen. in the USA from David McMillan on Vimeo.

Chillen is the creation ofAAussieAjuniorAriderADavid McMillan. We love it here at downhill247.com, if you think along the lines of Wyn TV, This is Peaty and some of the old Earthed and Sprung series then you get some idea of what Chillen is like. We had a chat with David to find out what Chillen is all about, so before you watch it have a read!

David we really dig Chillen, the vibe is one people can relate to if they have been on a downhill trip, the footage is not all about slow motion and the home film look reminds us of some old classic movies like Sprung and Earthed.

David tell us how did Chillen come about?
Chillen pretty much started when I decided I didnat like helmet camera footage on my helmet. So I started using it as a normal handy cam, filming Phil Piazza, James Green and myself. Some of the stuff I got was pretty cool so put some music with it and put it on the internet. People seemed to be pretty into it, so we decided to start filming a little bit more, just using whatever camera was available at the time. Phones, helmet cams, digital cameras…whatever, the more videos we made the more people liked them, each one better than the last.

Why did you do and what does it mean to you?
Itas just good fun to make them because they are just different to all the videos coming out these days, all professional and perfect with a bunch of slo-mo. We wanted to bring it back to just fun, enjoyable videos to watch and make. Most of the footage is just stuff we do on our travels or in our free time. Itas pretty cool that people are getting amped to ride from our videos and asking when the next oneas going to be out and stuff like that, itas good to know Chillens got fans! Thanks to whoevers watched any of them, there will be more to come! Stay tuned.

Well that is a good enough reason for us.AAs David says the footage isn’t super professional but the vibe is just right. Check out the latest episode from the Aussie Junior’s trip to North America and look out for the next one! Enjoy.
