Flash Result: Round 3 Vic DH Series – Mt Beauty

The third round of the Victorian State series has just been run on the awesome Mount Beauty track, not only is the track awesome but the town gets behind the event and they put on a well polished show. Results are as follows:

Elite Men:

1. Connor Fearon 2.54.08

2. Tim Eaton 2.56.05 + 1.97

3. Joel Panozzo 2.57.17 + 3.09

4. Liam Panozzo 2.57.60 + 3.52

5. Jesse Beare 3.00.23 + 6.15

Under 19 Men:

1. Dean Lucas 2.55.98

2. Oliver Zwar 3.04.72 + 8.74

3. Gary McIvor 3.09.25A�+ 13.28

4. Jai Motherwell 3.13.14 + 17.16

5. Elijah Marinov 3.13.47 + 17.49

Dean Lucas again stomped his dominance on the Under 19 field, winning by over 8.5 seconds. In Elite Men, Connor Fearons’ victory means he is now the overall leader. Inside Info: Sam Hill

Despite it being his first major race back Sam Hill was still the most successful Senior Men's Australian rider at the 2011 Champery World Championships.

Without doubt Sam Hill is Australiaa��s most successful downhill racer ever. His quiet, a�?let the riding do the talkinga��, demeanour can be quite refreshing and as anyone that knows him well will tell you, hea��s a genuinely nice guy with a dry sense of humor. Enough character assessment, we talked to Sam about his injuries, plans for the off season to race the National Series and National Champs and his goals for 2012.

Pick of the Pics: Bryn Atkinson

Bryn at this years National Champs at Eagle park, Bryn is recovering from a big injury in which he broke his femur, lets hope we see him at this years Champs.

The third ‘Pick of the Pics’ is a pure race shot of Bryn Atkinson at the Eagle National Champs earlier this year. This picture is to celebrate the first National Downhill Series race for 2011/12, kicking off at Thredbo next weekend! Asia Pacific Downhill Challenge 2011

Even though it’s the ‘off-season’ this race is getting bigger ever year, returning this year were Sam Hill, Troy Brosnan and Shaun O’Connor, travelling over with them for the first time was Mitch Delfs. Flash Result: Sam Hill wins 2011 Asia Pacific Downhill Challenge.

On a track totallyA�different from Australian or World Cup tracks, Sam Hill has won the Asia Pacific Downhill Challenge. The track took just underA�three and a half minutes for Sam to ride and consisted of roots, big rock drops and gardens and some decent size jumps. Australians faired well taking three of the top five positions, Troy Brosnan finished 30th. Results are as follows;
